13C NMR chemical shifts and nJ(C,H) coupling constants of polychlorinated diphenyl ethers (PCDEs) were measured and analysed. The chlorine substituent effects on the chemical shifts and the coupling constants were determined by a multiple linear regression analysis. The 13C NMR chemical shifts depend on the conformational preferences in PCDEs. In addition to single substituent effects, corrective terms reflecting the conformational state of the molecule and the mutual steric interactions of two chlorine atoms had to be taken into account for the reliable prediction of the 13C chemical shifts. Marketing has acquired a central role in tourism because it helps organizations to create value in transactions with buyers. Thus, this important area of any business process is used to educate consumers, to add value to their experience in tourism, and to seek new ways to reward loyalty through innovative schemes (e.g., programs for frequent travelers). This paper presents the examination of the responses of 154 tourists in relation to their intention to purchase a travel package and the factors that are usually decisive in the decision making process regarding tourism services, factors that could also create the loyalty that any tourism enterprise can create through marketing.
The impact of birth weight on pulse pressure during adolescence

Background The objective was to study the influence of birth weight on office and ambulatory pulse pressure. Methods and results Three hundred healthy children (176 girls), aged 10–18 years, born at term after a normotensive pregnancy were included. The subjects were divided according to birth weight: 2.000–2.500 kg, 2.501–3.000 kg, 3.001–3.500 kg and >3.500 kg. For each subject, office and 24-h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring were performed according to the protocol designed. There were significant differences among groups in 24-h ambulatory systolic blood pressure, and pulse pressure (PP). No differences were observed in terms of sex, current age, weight and height.
